The CurseForge situation

On the morning of March 17, 2026 I wake up and get an e-mail that my mod Purrfect was banned for the reason:
"Inaprorptore mod (leashing and "dogwalk" other players)".

After several hours I write an appeal asking if it's possible to restore the mod if I delete the leashes feature which they didn't like.

And only on March 22, after 5 days after the appeal was sent, I receive an answer that mod can't be restored because it violates their rules!!

Initially, after receiving this response, I wanted to create Purrfect Lite - a version of the mod that wouldn't contain leashes, collars, and other things that CurseForge may not like.
But then I decided that it doesn't make sense to release a mod with missing content.
Purrfect is a social-focused mod. People on CurseForge usually download content mods without checking the content itself. I let the mod coverage be smaller, but closer to the target audience, such as on Modrinth.

In reply I was asked to create new mod page, but even if I remove the leashes from it, it's not clear what they might not like about the next one, since initially they approved the mod page on which leashes functionality was described and they banned the mod after ten days of it's existence on platform.
Purrfect won't be on CurseForge anymore.

Basically, I found myself in exactly the same situation (please read this post too).

CurseForge is a monopolist which has many users because it has existed for a long time.
They still haven't fixed the interface; there are still two versions of the site, and when using the site you are thrown between them. Very questionable moderation, which allow to keep very disgusting mods and kill innocent projects on the platform. And they don’t care, they’re raking the money. It’s very hard for both developers and players to use platform.

Don’t use CurseForge. Use Modrinth. Thank you.
